Volunteer with UBFM

Come join your teammates to make and distribute food to homeless and food insecure. We will make 700 burritos and 600 sandwiches and then hop on our bikes to distribute the food. Wear your Velorosa gear and something bright colored (they will have yellow vests if you need one). Also bring lights for your bikes as it may be dark before we return at 8:30. It is best if you don't wear your cleats as we do make frequent stops throughout each route. It is really a fun event and will give you so much gratitude and appreciation to help others in our community.

Here are the specifics: 1 - We make food starting between 4:45-5:00 PM. (COME ANY TIME BEFORE 6, no need to be there right at 4:45, but it's a great experience to make the food) 2 - We will be on bikes for 5 of the 7 routes! 3 - Park on the top level of the parking ramp WEST of Capitol Hill starting at 4:45 PM.  4 - Our rally point is INSIDE Capitol Hill. Take your bike to the Bike Corral on the north side of the building then enter the building using the doors under the west side carport. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BIKE ON YOUR CAR! 5 - Start arriving anytime after 4:45 PM to help make food (yes, we need your help making food). Be ready to head out after the safety briefing at 6:00 PM. 6 - If you have a donation, please pull up under the carport, drop your supplies then head over to the West Parking lot to park your car.
