Going the Distance with Deanne Herr

Please join Velorosa in wishing Good Luck to our very own team member Deanne Herr as she takes on the Texas Time Trails this weekend!

The Texas Time Trials is an ultra marathon endurance cycling event held on a 26.3 mile loop punctuated by rolling hills around the Brazos River.

This long standing event offers 6, 12, and 24-hour time based races where solo riders and relay teams complete as many laps as possible during their respective duration.

While Deanne has had great success in racing locally at gravel events and shorter time trails, Elkhart, this will be her first time tackling a long distance time trial for ultra cycling.

2019 24HOC Women’s 200k

2019 Iowa Gravel Classic Fatbike

2019 Gravel World Women’s Open 75mi

Deanne is entered in the 12hr category And will start at 6am Saturday morning. Previously her longest race distance was the 2019 24 Hours of Cumming where she won the women’s 200k (120mi) category.

While this may be her longest race to date, make no mistake, Deanne is no stranger to long distances overall. She has twice completed the Break the Cycle 200. BTC200 is a 200 miles in one day ride to bring awareness to and stop human trafficking.

Velorosa is proud to call this extraordinary woman a teammate & friend! Thanks Deanne for representing our team, way to #showup big and always making us #pinkproud !
