Sip & Swap Success!

One month ago Velorosa and the Des Moines Cycle Club hosted Sip & Swap! It was a great night!

Together we raised over $5,500 for Urban Bicycle Food Ministry, a record amount for our event! This is enough for a month of food to serve approximately 1,800 meals delivered to 2,600 unhoused individuals in downtown Des Moines.

We are so grateful for the donors of all of the fabulous items for our silent auction and for the cycling community members who showed up to support Sip & Swap

The night's silent auction and cycling gear swap supported these three nonprofits:

Dream Team

Street Collective

All the cycling clothing that remained at the end of the evening was donated to the Dream Team as they train to ride RAGBRAI.

And all of the cycling parts that remained went to the Street Collective.
